Just wanted stop in… Didn’t get any photos/video from today’s game w/TTAGS (wanted to focus on playing for the first time in awhile), but my Nerf Vortex Pyragon and the 40 round drum got some work today 🙂
The slam fire action is pretty smooth and flawless (as demonstrated in some test fire videos) but the accuracy and general feel of the blaster is aces in my book (to be fair, we were playing Freeze Tag and on a playground with a jungle gym; about 30-50′ apart at times.) I was moving under/around well with it, and taking out entire teams under a cloud of discs. No misfires, no jams, and replacing mags when empty was easy and fast. Can’t ask for much more in my book.
If only I had a room full of UV lights and a slew of white vortex discs… Disc Wars a la Tron coming right up!
Got it out of the box… There it is! (10 discs are already loaded, hence you only see 30.) Gimme some time with it & I will put out a review soon. Also might come up with some trick shots of my own 😉
ANNNNNND…. I posted this on facebook, but one more shot. It looked so good I couldn’t help it:)
Word. The Nerf Vortex Pyragon wearing a LightningStorm stock 🙂
Back in 2010 – Nerf ran a “Battle of the Ads” contest where Nerf fans were invited to create their own videos and post them for a chance at advertisement glory, and a viewing during the Super Bowl. The winner?
During the July 12 – August 22 submission period, NERF fans aged 13 years and older are encouraged to showcase their talents, enthusiasm, and NERF pride by uploading their NERF “Battle of the Ads: Elite Challenge” submissions on www.NerfBattleOfTheAds.com. Users will be able to edit their videos on this site, adding details such as NERF logos, high-energy background music, and more. A selection of approved submissions will be featured on the site so fans can check out and be inspired by the competition! www.NerfBattleOfTheAds.com will also offer fans the chance to win NERF prize packs throughout the promotion, providing NERF NATION members even more incentive to get in on the action.
Submissions for the NERF “Battle of the Ads: Elite Challenge” will be judged based on creativity, compelling demonstration of NERF products, and level of energy of NERF play depicted. Four finalist videos will be uploaded to www.NerfBattleOfTheAds.com where NERF fans will be invited to help chose a winner by voting for their favorites. The grand prize winner will be awarded $10,000, and the winning video will be featured on the official NERF YouTube channel: YouTube.com/Nerf.
So the Vapor Delta and Vapor Atlas are a couple of new offerings from Vapor that are pretty cool. Disposable ammo, streamlined looks, and pretty decent performance out of the box. Looks like there’s something cooking on their end at San Diego Comic-Con. The Vapor facebook page might have more details on what they’re preparing, but it looks like a lot of blasters and ammo. Lots of ammo. If you’re at SDCC, I’m super jealous. Enjoy your time there, and hope you find Vapor while you’re there! If you’re not (like me) then you can still find a Vapor blaster (Delta or Atlas) online, and for a discounted weekend-only price!
25% off for this weekend only! (Call it an SDCC perk) Do me a favor and tell’em Foam From Above sent ya, eh?
Key note here, SDCC’ers – “Cruisin’ the streets of Comic-Con with a stockpile of free blasters to share with some lucky friends. Catch the vapor mother-wave tomorrow around 3pm… if you can find us.”
Check out @vaporblaster on twitter, and the Facebook page noted above!
A sign, if I ever saw one. And Wilfred cosplayers? Of course, SDCC. (picture taken from Vapor’s Facebook page)
Another shot off the Vapor Facebook page; look at all those blasters! Keep your eyes open! The Vapor Delta is a favorite, for sure.
Not quite Nerf at the Office but a little comedy short off the Nerf channel. Grandma dual-wields, hilarity ensues. Points off for headshots with a Super Soaker?! I contest!
(on my tablet atm and not able to embed atm. I will fix this later tonight.)
